DBRSolutions is a recruitment business (as defined in the Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003.), which provides work-finding services to its clients and work-seekers.
DBRSolutions are committed to protecting your privacy and rights to safeguarding your data.
This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. We collect the personal data of the following types of people to allow us to undertake and carry out our core and ancillary business;

The Company must process personal data (including sensitive personal data) so that it can provide these services. In doing so, the Company acts as a data controller.
For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), the data controller is Design and Build Resource Solutions Limited of 13 Rockside Drive, Henleaze Bristol BS94NW.

You may give your personal details to the Company directly, such as on an application or registration forms or via our website, or we may collect them from another source such as advertisements or job boards.

We may receive information about you if you use any of the other websites we operate or subscribe to. This can be, but not limited to reed.co.uk, CV-library.co.uk, indeed.co.uk, totaljobs.com or any other job site or aggregator.
We are working closely with third parties including, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, professional, payment and other services, advertising networks, and professional advisors. We may receive information about you from them for the purposes of our business.
We may receive information from others e.g. your future employee, this could include the place of work, salary and benefits package.

How we Use Your Information
  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts we intend to enter into or have entered into between you and us and to provide you with the information, products and services that you request from us
  • To provide you with information about other goods and services we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased, been provided with or enquired about.  
  • The core service we offer to our candidates and clients is the introduction of candidates to our clients for the purpose of temporary or permanent engagement.  However, our service expands to supporting individuals throughout their career and to supporting businesses’ resourcing needs and strategies.
  • Our legal basis for the processing of personal data is our legitimate business interests, although we will also rely on contract, legal obligation and consent for specific uses of data.
  • We will rely on contract if we are negotiating or have entered into a placement agreement with you or your organisation or any other contract to provide services to you or receive services from you or your organisation.
  • We will rely on legal obligation if we are legally requires to hold information on to you to fulfil our legal obligations.
  • We will in some circumstances rely on consent for particular uses of your data and you will be asked for your express consent, if legally required.  Examples of when consent may be the lawful basis for processing include permission to introduce you to a client (if you are a candidate).

Our Legitimate Business Interests
DBRSolutions Ltd rely on Legitimate Interest to process personal data of individuals.
As a recruitment business we introduce candidates to clients for permanent employment, temporary worker placements or independent professional contracts.  The exchange of this personal data of our candidates and our client contacts is a fundamental, essential part of this process.
 
In order to support our candidates’ career aspirations and or to assist them individual in gaining new/future employment and to support our clients’ resourcing needs we require a database of candidate and client personal data containing historical information as well as current resourcing requirements.
 
To maintain, expand and develop our business we need to record the personal data of potential or future candidates and client contacts.
 
 
Consent to use Data
 
Should DBRSolutions want or need to rely on consent to lawfully process your data we will request your consent orally, by email or by an online process for the specific activity we require consent for and record your response on our system.  
 
Where consent is the lawful basis for our processing you have the right to withdraw your consent to this particular processing at any time.
 
Data Retention
DBRsolutions will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary. Variation in circumstance affect the laws and may require us to keep different data for different periods of time.
The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 require us to keep work-seeker records for at least one year from (a) the date of their creation or (b) after the date on which we last provide you with work-finding services.
We must also keep your payroll records, holiday pay, sick pay and pension’s auto-enrolment records for as long as is legally required by HMRC and associated national minimum wage, social security and tax legislation. 

Your Data
When we say your “personal data”, we mean any information that identifies any person that you provide to us during your registration, or contained in any other information that you provide to us (or that you authorise a third party to give to us on your behalf).
Your “personal data” may also be contained in information that we collect about you in connection with your job applications. When it comes to your personal data, we comply with our respective obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”). We will be compliant with GDPR come May 2018 and will republish our Privacy Policy accordingly.

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you. We also encourage you to contact us to ensure your data is accurate and complete.
